| Abstract: | The first thing to be decided in treating a leprosy patient is whether to admit him to a leprosarium or to treat him on an out-patient basis. However, the question of admission does not arise if the leprosy is indeterminate, tuberculoid, or borderline, for these types of leprosy do not carry a public health risk as nasal scrapings are negative for leprosy bacilli.(AU).
