Title:Tracheotomy in leprosy.
Source:Int. J. Lepr;12(n.esp):11-30, Dec. 1944. tab, graf, ilus.
Abstract:A group of 144 patients, of whom 46 are living and 98 have died, furnish clinical material for a study of tracheotomy in leprosy. Indications for operation, surgical anatomy, operative technic, and post-operative care are particularly emphasized. (AU).

Title:Case of leprosy of the larinx ..-
Source:São Paulo; s.n; dez. 1940. 5 p. .
Abstract:While staying lately at Luxor in Upper Egypt my attention was drawn to a beggar by the roadside who demanded "backsheesh" with such a peculiarly hissing sound of voice that I stopped to look at him more closley. Seeing some peculiar tubercules about his face and hands, I thought possibly this might be a case of true leprosy with implication of the larynx. (AU).

Title:Lepromatous leprosy of the larynx ..-
Source:s.l; s.n; 1983. 5 p. ilus.
Abstract:Leprosy (Hansen's disease) is a chronic, systemic, granulomatous infection in man caused by the acid-fast organism Mycobacterium leprae, which has a predilection for the skin, the peripheral nervous system, and the mucosa of the upper respiratory tract. The organism establishes a stable host-parasite relationship that is usually not fatal but that is potentially mutilating....(AU).

Title:Medical and surgical aspects of the granulomatous diseases of the larynx ..-
Source:s.l; s.n; Nov. 1979. 15 p. ilus.
Abstract:Granulomatous diseases of the larynx are often clinically unususpected and may present a wide spectrum of symptoms and physical findings. A thorough otolaryngologic examination is imperative because granulomatous infiltration of the entire upper respiratory tract may precede or coexist with laryngeal involvement.(AU).

Title:Granulomatous diseases of the larynx ..-
Source:s.l; s.n; Aug. 1982. 13 p. ilus.
Abstract:The inflammatory processes that involve the larynx can take many forms, with the granulomatous disorders invariably representing the end consequences of chronic disease. In the past, laryngeal granulomas were more prevalent, primarily because of the frequency of tuberculosis.More recently such lesions often have been diagnosed by clinicians attempting to rule out carcinoma.(AU).

Title:Leprosy of the upper respiratory tract. A clinical bacteriological, histopathological and histochemical study of twenty cases ..-
Source:s.l; s.n; 1975. 7 p. ilus, tab.
Abstract:Twenty cases clinically diagnosed as leprosy were thoroughly examined for E.N.T. lesions. These lesions were subjected to bacteriological, histopathological and histochemical studies. The results have been tabulated and discussed with special stress on some findings which are of help in diagnosing the disease. (AU).

Title:A clinico-pathological study of laryngeal lesions in 30 cases of leprosy ..-
Source:s.l; s.n; oct. 1980. 9 p. ilus, tab.
Abstract:The histological findings in laryngeal biopsies and local clinical findings in thirty cases of leprosy have been reported in detail. It is emphasised that in areas where there is significant incidence of leprosy, laryngeal involvement may be expected even in the absence of local clinical manifestations and be got confirmed by histological examination and demonstration of acid-fast bacilli. Further, histological appearance may not be very characteristic at the outset. The observations made by previous authors have been reviewed and discussed.(AU).
